"Soul in Structure"

The Phalanstery Art Space presents Hugh Sullivan's solo exhibit, Soul in Structure, featuring 22 architectural paintings completed within the past six months.

Sullivan's portraits of Manhattan's historic walk-ups are living catalogues of a storied New York City past. Through lifetimes of interacting with human energies, brick-and-mortar reflects and projects the souls of its inhabitants. This soft-spoken intimacy is buried beneath mounds of color, shrinking the canvas and entering a new dimension. 

Hugh Sullivan was born into an artistic family which initiated his formal training at the age of ten. With over five decades in art and being in numerous private collections in the United States, Mexico and Denmark, he has teamed up with the Uranian Phalanstery to present this exclusive, commissioned collection to the public.
